The existence of the Farlands is 2b2t’s greatest ever mystery. As the map, started in beta Minecraft, they could potentially be out there. Many have made, the journey and even claimed to have found them. So, I wanted to go and see, for myself. And what I found was weird. Let’s see what happened.>> [music], >> We’re starting things out here already traveling as we’ve got over 1.5 million, blocks to go here on the Nether Highway. We’ve got a faster elytra hat to use,but this journey is still going to take a long, long time. But I’m up early.I’ve got plenty of coffee. So, let’s go. We’ll stop off and look at some of the, major milestones on the way and of course check out anything else, interesting we find. As we’re going south, one of the things I really want, to do is see if we can find the end of the Southern Canal. Once we get to the, Firelands distance at 1.5 million, we’re going to explore around 100k blocks in, the overworld to see exactly what’s there. If you’ve never heard about the.
Firelands, they’re Minecraft’s most famous glitch from old versions of the, game that would generate weird mountain terrain at the edge of the map over 12.5, million blocks out, but only if someone made it that far. 2b2t was on versions, that could generate the Farlands in 2011, and there are many loose stories, of them existing. FIDMC actually put things into overdrive in 2020 when he, offered a $2,000 bounty for anyone who could find them. I actually asked Fit, what happened afterwards and his general thoughts on the Farlands. He gave me a, really interesting insight and I’ll share that with you towards the end of, the video. So, with all this hype, hundreds, maybe even thousands of, players have been out there, so there’s got to be something there. Here we are, at 100k blocks in the Nether. Only another 1.4 million to go. Let’s see, what’s in the overworld. Uh yeah, really grief. But we’re still pretty close to, spawn. I’m hoping these monuments will get a little bit better the further out.
we get. So this is interesting. You see this trace has just gone off because, this guy is wearing a maxed out elytra. Obviously, someone’s discarded that, along the highway. Uh and he’s picked it up. This is called mob gear ESP and is, one of the best ways of finding an elytra if you’re a new player. We have, made it to 1 million blocks in the overworld. Let’s see what’s there. Wow,just a crazy massive grief. Yeah, obviously this is a very famous, location. Just look at the size of this thing. So, I wanted to see if I could, find the end of the Southern Canal. I’ve got to the bit where they’ve only just, started to dig it. And uh I found a player out here as well. So, there it, is. 1.2 million in the overworld is essentially as far as the canal [music], goes. An absolutely incredible job by the waterways union. These guys are, putting a lot of effort in. That’s crazy. After this, I stopped off at 200k, and 250k in the Nether before carrying on. We’ve made it to 300k in the Nether.
And there’s some map art here. There’s a gapple here. Well, let’s go see what’s, in the overworld. Ah, it looks like there was something really nice here,but we are just too late. It’s all griefed. I’m sure we will find something, intact at some [music] point, though. We have made it to half a million in the, Nether. Around a third of the way of our total journey. It’s taken me about 3, hours to get here. 400k was a little boring. Let’s see if this is any better.So, there’s a griefd monument here. And there is a wither right above me. This, is what happens when you come to some places on 2b2t. Let’s just run away a, little bit. There he is. Oh no. I think it’s time to move on. Now, here’s, something really cool I found on the highway. You see this sign here? Slowly,we steal this land from the pigs. Back in 2017, players could obtain and place, pig spawners. And back then, this was the main way people used to get to the, world border using pigs and entity speed. And you can actually watch Fit do.
that in his famous video when he goes to the world border. So, what that means is, when you find a few simple blocks of grass on the side of a Nether Highway,you’re actually finding a huge piece of 2b2t history. Seen quite a lot of map, arts around here. Rest in peace, Harley. Oh, [music] man. That makes me miss my, um what I was trying to say there is that makes me miss my dog. You never, quite realize how much a pet can impact your life. But uh yeah, RIP to all our, little friends that are no longer with us. 600k blocks in the Nether. Let’s, take a quick look. Okay, just a nice little hut here in the middle of the, ocean. Okay, I think it’s time to stop, get ourselves some lunch.>> I wonder if FitMC is housem. [music], We have made it to 5 million in the overworld. As you can see, a lot of, signs. A lot of people have made the journey here. Let’s go check it out. So,here we go. 5 million in the overworld. That looks really cool. You got the 5.
million under there. Of course, a lava cast. And then you’ve got that big melon, cube over there. It’s just awesome to come out to these milestones and just to, think of the amount of players that have been here. A little bit away. Someone’s, actually tried the lava dupe. I can’t believe I’m leaking it in a video. At, this point, I stopped at 700k in the Nether, 750k in the Nether, and 800k in, the Nether before stopping at a funny number. For some reason, I have felt, compelled to stop at these coordinates. Let’s build a portal and see if there’s, anything there. Well, unfortunately, there was nothing funny there, but I did, find this. We look for hope. Wait, and pray for the day when it will come. But, what if it never comes? Here’s a flower of hope for your travels. 7 million in, the overworld. Let’s see what’s there. Okay, this one’s pretty cool. It It has, some feeling to it. 7 million. In fact, now that I’m here, I kind of realize.
that I think this is the furthest I’ve ever been on the server. This is a bit, of an achievement. Wow. Something to consider as we’re bouncing along here.How many secret base and stash locations are we going past? If only you knew the, right places to put the portals down. There are probably dozens, hundreds, if, not thousands of locations we’ve gone past. That element of unknown is one of, the reasons I love 2b2t so much. After 900k was literally just a portal, we, have just reached 1 million blocks in the Nether. I know this is pretty normal, for a lot of 2B players, but for someone who doesn’t have much time on their, hands like me, this is absolutely crazy. [music] It’s taken us about 6 and 1/2, hours to get here with a few breaks. And uh yeah, a pretty cool monument here.Okay, so let’s go into the overworld. Oh, damn. Well, we’re getting chased by, withers once again here at 8 million in the overworld. There looks like there.
was something pretty cool here, but we can’t really stop to look at it. These, guys want to hurt me. I’ve turned my elytrafly up to Mac 3. Now we are going, as fast as the chunks can load. Let’s get there as soon as we can. Here we, are. We have made it. 1.25 million in the Nether. 10 million blocks in the, overworld. Okay, let’s jump into the portal and see what 10 million blocks in, the overworld looks like. Wow, we have made it. Yeah, never thought I would, make it this far out. So many different players have been here over the years.Yeah, this is actually crazy. 1.3 million in the Nether. Well, there’s an, L on the ground. I think that’s meant for the people coming through expecting, to see some massive monument or something. But we are getting very, very, close to our final destination. Let’s just go and get this done. Here we are.11 million blocks in the overworld. Ooh, now that is cool. I really like that.I’ve seriously underestimated how long this is going to take. I really thought.
I would have been done about 4 hours ago. Now there’s 100k more blocks to go.Let’s do this. We have arrived at 1.5 million blocks in the Nether. Our final, major Nether milestone. Actually looks like there was a pretty big build here, at one point. Right, time to go back. The next time we come through to the, overworld, it’ll be the Farlands location. Okay, about 15k blocks to go.What was funny in the end rings video is I was 100% sure we were going to find, the end rings. In this video, I have no idea what’s going to be there when we go, through the portal. We are here. We have finally made it. My god. And as much as, I’d love to jump through now, this has taken over 12 hours and I’m absolutely, broken. So, I’m going to go and get some rest and we’ll jump through in the, morning. It’s time. Let’s gapple up and go through. Wow. Okay. So, we have got a, little monument here. Lots of people have made this journey. And you can see, some of these signs go back to 2017. Well, I mean, they have got glow ink on.
them. So, they might not be real, but they are oak signs. So, yeah, this is a, historic little place right here. Okay. So, what I want to do is go 50k in both, directions to see [music] what is there. Let’s start going in this direction.Wait, what? Okay. Well, this isn’t the Farlands, but it is still super weird, looking. Right on the coordinates, [music] we’ve got exposed trail ruins, here. That looks so bizarre. It’s just really funny that it’s right on this, trunk border, right next to where the Farland should be. I mean, is this not, the coolest floating village you’ve ever seen? It’s like something out of modded, Minecraft. And it’s right on a chunk border again. So it looks like the, Farlands. Ooh, found a shulker on the ground. Oh well, maybe we get to use, this in a little bit. Is this the Farlands? H, maybe not. What? Okay, look, at this other floating village just in the middle of the ocean. What a bizarre, thing. Just a single piece of floating obsidian. That’s very strange. So,
here’s another super unique thing you get here because of these chunk borders.Look at this ocean monument just perfectly chopped in half. So, right at, 50k, we’ve got another one of these mad floating villages here on another chunk, border. Now, let’s go and try going 50k in the other direction. Here we are back, at the sign wall. Let’s go. Ooh, look at this frost walker. More frost walker, ice. Was this guy just running around without an elytra? So, check this out.Just your [music] typical floating pillager outpost right next to another, glitched ocean monument. Just the weird things I’m seeing on this Farlands axis.The Frost Walker guy still continues in this direction. Does that mean that, there was a broke guy that just came all the way out to the Farlands? As I was, flying along, I saw this row of chests. And if you open them up, there’s gapples, inside. L A I think they’re supposed to spell Farlands. How’s that an S? Oh,well, I guess if you go like that, not quite the Farlands dupe stash I was.
hoping for. I love this. When you go through the snowy plains, when there’s, these chunk borders, you get these perfect grass lines going through them.It’s the Farlands floor. Okay, so this might be the smallest village I have, ever found. [music] I mean, you really can’t call it a village, can you? But, that’s what it is. It is a village path that’s been affected by this chunk, border. So, there’s a 50k in the other direction. [music] We’ve seen some super, cool stuff. And now there’s one more thing I want to do. Okay, so we are back, here at the sign wall and you can see that I’ve made a few changes here. If we, go out of this iron door, you can see that I’ve enclosed this entire thing in, obsidian. Now, the reason that I’ve done that is instead of just leaving a sign, here, I want to turn this into a bit of a monument and I’m going to stick it, right underneath a massive lava cast. Let’s go. Oh yes, here we go. This is, going to be perfect. You know, there’s something almost spiritual about.
creating a lava cast. It’s a bit like cutting the grass on a crisp spring, morning or sipping that first pint in a pub garden when the summer starts.

Okay,so I think that’s high enough. Let’s get a lava bucket out. Let’s begin. Oh, it’s, happening. Just looks so amazing. We’re going to cause some destruction down, there. Just waiting for everything to set a light. The sun setting over a lava, cast in progress. Does it get any more beautiful than that on 2b2t? The trees, are on fire. It’s about to hit the obsidian cube. Oh yes, there it goes.It’s time to add the water. Let’s go. Look at it. Yes. The creation of a, monument here at the Farlands on 2b2t. This just looks so much better. The last, thing to do is to leave our mark. There’s one final thing. Perfect.So, are the Farlands out there? We only searched 100k blocks. Others have gone, much further. A player [music] named Hehair Yukai flew over 100 million, blocks looking for them. They found interesting things like us, but not the.
actual Farlands. The issue is although 100 million blocks sounds like a lot,it’s [music] actually insignificant as the theoretical range of the Farlands is, in the quadrillions because they only started at 12.5, million blocks out but would [music] extend all the way to the end of the, map. So if someone did teleport to a random location and generate them, they, could be much further out. When I asked Fit his opinion on their existence, this, is what he had to say. In the years since I put up the bounty, there have, been several hoaxes claiming that the Farlands had been [music] found, but, each of them were easily disproven. There was one lead from the OG community, a few years back that had some credibility, but they didn’t have any, concrete [music] evidence to back up their claim. I feel that if they were, truly real, someone would have found them by now. Considering automated, accounts can fly around the server these [music] days, there’s still a chance.
they exist, but every year that goes by without a discovery raises my, skepticism. And honestly, I have to agree. But who knows, maybe you can be, the one to find them. Sorry, September Rick.
