For the past 2 years, I have pushed myself to the absolute limit. During, that time, I have to learn all these different productivity hacks, and I have, found out what actually works and what doesn’t. Now, I’m going to share those, with you, so you can benefit from them, too. Why should you listen to me? Well,I studied two degrees at the same time for a whole year. Right now, I work, about 80 hours per month while also doing my second year of computer, science, and apparently, that still wasn’t enough for me, so I decided to, give this YouTube thing a shot as well. So, the first thing is there are no, hacks. The hard work has to be put in either way. It will probably suck, but, you can make it a lot easier for yourself by optimizing things. Let’s get, the most obvious one out of the way first. Now, we can start talking. Okay, you probably don’t have to go that extreme. It is enough to just keep your phone in another room when you want to work. If.

you have your phone within reach when you’re trying to do something that, requires concentration, you’re sabotaging yourself right from the, start. You are not going to get into deep work like that. So, keep your phone, away, period. And if you have an Apple Watch or something like that, put Do Not, Disturb mode on, because those notifications [music] will distract you, too. And in general, remove all distractions. You need to find a quiet, place where you can actually concentrate. What I have found out to be, the absolute best thing for me is to start working straight after waking up.Just brush your teeth, get a cup of black coffee, and go to work. Your, willpower is strongest in the morning, so it feels a lot easier to work then.If you try to work in the afternoon after watching Tik Tok for 8 hours, straight, of course, it is going to be hard. Another thing that has worked, really well for me is setting a timer and actually sticking to it. For.

example, set a timer for 1 hour and work for that whole hour. But if you do, anything else besides work, that does not count, and you stop the timer. If, you go to the bathroom, stop the timer. If you check your phone, stop the timer. If you start doing something random, stop the timer. Simple. Usually, we do, all kinds of other stuff while working, so you think you worked for 3 hours, but, the amount of actual focused work you did was maybe 1 hour. By using this, timer trick, you have no excuses if you actually stick to it. Another big one is, planning the next day beforehand. It makes things so much easier when you can, start working instead of wasting energy thinking about what you should do. You, want to reduce unnecessary decisions as much as possible, so plan early. Now,what about the most simple productivity hack of all time, staring at a wall?Well, when you’re staring at the wall, nothing is happening. Your work is not, getting done, but at least you’re not doing something actively bad, either.

You’re not scrolling Tik Tok and destroying your attention span. You, might feel a bit more rested and more motivated after that, but I think there, is a better way. And as the are, non-sleep deep rest. I first heard about, this from Andrew Huberman. Basically, it is a practice that helps you get into a, deeply relaxed state without fully falling asleep. The way I do it is very, simple. I put my AirPods on, search for an NSDR video on YouTube, lie down on, the floor, and follow it for 10 minutes. I was skeptical at first, and it does, feel a bit counterintuitive to lie down for 10 minutes when you feel like you, should be working, but trust me, the feeling afterwards is almost like you, got a good night’s sleep. It becomes so much easier to get back to work after, that. It can also help reduce stress and anxiety, improve sleep, and help with, learning and memory. So, for such a short amount of time, the benefits are, huge. I would definitely do this instead of just staring at a wall. Another.

important one is building a system that you follow every single day, no matter, what. So, what is a system? It is just a structured practice that moves you, toward your goal. For example, if you want to get good at basketball, your, system could be that you make 500 shots every single day, and you do not leave, before that is done. If you want to get good at programming, your system could, be that you code for 1 hour every single day, no matter what. Making a system is, not hard. You can make it very simple, but it can be life-changing. For me, it, was waking up early and working for many hours straight after that. For you, it, might be something else, but this is the best and probably the only way to make, consistent progress over a long period of time. Another thing that helps is, having a dedicated place to work. Having one place that is just for work removes, friction, and your brain starts learning that this is the place where you focus.

It becomes easier to switch into work mode. I used to have my setup in a, walk-in closet because I did not have a better place for it in our small, apartment, and honestly, that was the place where I could focus the best, but, I had to move it because it got too hot in there, and there was no natural, light. And lastly, probably the most important one of them all, sleep well. When you have slept well, everything becomes easier. It is easier to focus. It is easier to work. It is easier to be disciplined. So, please, make that a, priority. Well, those are the things that have made the biggest difference in, my life.
