The Singularity
I’m doing a series of videos on the advancement of AI and AI infrastructure, and while I’m not trying to fearmonger people too much, this video may come off like that.I’d love to explore some of the, contracts within the US government, a lot of these companies.I’ve done that in one such video on autonomous, weapons vehicles and our cooperation with foreign government Israel, in our National Defense Authorization Act.This video will be about the Singularity. This is more of a theoretical video.I am certain that you’ve heard about this up until this point, but I really think there’s a strong case to be made.Despite the attempts by CEOs like Mr.Solomon over, Sachs to try to say that people won’t be laid off by the advancement of AI.We saw in 2025 that 100,000 tech workers alone were laid off.We see less and less people are being hired. The jobs reports are abysmal and you can’t entirely blame that on Trump. And then in the first quarter of 2026, 92,000 people were laid off.
lay sb off:
to stop employing sb because there is not enough work for them to do
We know that AI is advancing significantly. If you need more examples, again,a simple reference would be the fact that OpenAI’s, system just solved a math problem that hadn’t been solved for 80 years. They also have Mythos, and Project Glasswing, that can hack the security on like any computer and steal your identity. So,even though people might lie to try to raise their valuation, for their AI company,I truly do believe that these AI companies are significantly advancing. And the Singularity marks the end of the human era.A new artificial superintelligence, which again, not sentience, but intelligence,a apparatus that is capable of thinking and solving problems, but not thinking independently, could upgrade itself at a rate, far exceeding that which could, be done by computer scientists.I don’t doubt that there is a possibility, that we develop to a point where these things get out of hand.I’m not trying to say we’re in, the Terminator world and I’m, not trying to inspire you to, become a Luddite.
and then go and like, you know, smash up the loom,so to speak, but here I do believe that this, AI is capable of taking far more, jobs than intended, and doing far more than human beings ever wanted.Because of Project Stargate, we’re in a arms race with China. So,we’re endlessly, sinking money into these AI tech companies and other investment opportunities, to advance the United States tech industry, and we’re not really thinking about the potential outcomes.Stuart J.Russell, speaking at the Berkeley research event April 25th,2024, highlighted this impending reality.A lot of people have discussed this, right? The The Nobel laureate Geoffrey Hinton and John H.Hopfield, two of the founding minds who designed, the frameworks enabling deep learning AI to even exist, and transform human language, agreed that the pace of development is not slowing down.Hinton noted that 10 years ago, if I would have told you what we can do now,you wouldn’t have believed me.
You’d have to say that this is just science fiction, and I can certainly agree.I mean, we have people,as I’ve said before, Mustafa Suleyman saying that in the future, every job that is on a computer will be automated. The only reason that this isn’t done is because it’s very expensive.Claude API tokens are costing Uber, for example,500 million bill in the first like 4 months of 2026.
(especially NAmE) to collect sth, such as profits or losses in a business, or points in a competition
The company racked up $200 million in losses in two years. In ten years of boxing he racked up a record 176 wins.
So,the only reason that AI hasn’t replaced so many jobs yet is truly because, it is just more expensive right now than having human beings do the work.At such a point where it is no, longer more expensive than a, human being’s salary, you know for a fact that they will replace more and more people. This progression is moving by orders of magnitude every single year.I mean, we saw in 2019,
AI had a preschooler’s intelligence. It was creating art that looked like You saw the rock trying to eat spaghetti. You guys recall that at all?Well, by 2025 last year,ChatGPT, was claiming and Claude was claiming, that they had deep thinking modes, that were similar to a PhD, graduate student.By 2026, at the end of the year this year, machines will continue to advance. The infrastructure itself will continue to advance.Obviously, we see like Kevin O’Leary building a 40,000-acre data center in Utah.A lot of other investment opportunities, are building insane data centers all throughout the United States. We know that these AI data centers will advance, that AI itself will advance as systems refine. In his 2024 paper, Leopold Aschenbrenner, the situational awareness paper, described how artificial intelligence will likely hit AGI as soon as 2027.Prominent figures in the sector, are already getting their personal, affairs in order for a Singularity, by 2030.Now, what is Singularity?
We’re going to get to that in a second. At the Beneficial AGI Summit in Panama,a computer scientist Ben Goertzel echoed this, predicting that human-level, or superhuman AI might have historically seemed distant. It seemed impossible.Well, it’s not actually thinking,it’s not a human being. It doesn’t need to be able to think. It doesn’t need to be a human being. It doesn’t need to be a sentience to truly take millions of jobs. The AGI could arrive, again,as early as 2027.But, if you believe the Nvidia CEO,Jensen Huang, we already have AGI right now,or at least AGI capabilities. Not such a insane infrastructure, that it’s genuinely going to replace every single job sector overnight, but we can probably predict it will.In history and in science fiction,we saw predictions for this Singularity event with technology.During the Industrial Revolution, and Stanisław, Ulam and John von Neumann originally centered the definition of Singularity, on the accelerating progress of technology.
and its fundamental changes to human life,to the point where technology will be able to advance itself, out pacing human advancement, and it will fundamentally change the life that you are able to live. And this makes sense. If you were living through the Industrial Revolution,or going from, not having cars to suddenly putting a man on the moon in your lifetime,it would give the appearance of approaching an essential threshold, beyond which human affairs no longer look human. We’re not living in a primitive society, and no matter how much a Luddite or a anarcho-primitivist may want,we’re not approaching living in tents and huts anymore.Unless you want to move to the, Central African Republic, that’s, not your reality. The technological advancements, that they all lived through didn’t destroy society. So, I am not trying to fear monger and say,“Oh my god, we’re all going to die. It’s going to be the Terminator with a billion drones.” Although,
that reality is also not too far off given how many investment opportunities, the US military, the Pentagon, and DARPA are making to try to deploy, autonomous systems powered by AI and the fallout we saw between Anthropic, and the Department of War this year. The mechanism behind this shift was coined as the intelligence, explosion by Irving John Good in 1965,a concept uh later popularized by Raymond Kurzweil, in his 1983 work The Singularity, Is Near,[music] where he predicted its arrival by 2045,saying that computer science, and AI, deep learning would be able to solve human problems and advance science, at a rapid, rate, far faster than human graduate students and researchers could. One of the best descriptors, for what we’re facing right now, in this decade and what you face, in your life is coming from Eliezer, Yudkowsky’s, 1996, microeconomics paper on the topic,“Sufficiently, advanced machine intelligence could build a smarter version of itself,
Automation
which could in turn build an even smarter version, and that this process could continue to the point of vastly exceeding, human intelligence.”, We already kind of understand that this is possible. The Nuri on rocket was designed by AI,and then AI systems improved that rocket endlessly. Now, we do see failures of rockets, like the Blue Origin rocket that, just blew up.That’s definitely possible.Human error or AI error, it doesn’t matter. But, if AI is advancing every single year, every single month to the point where, it can endlessly solve mathematical problems, and improve engineering, and possibly manufacture drones itself, why wouldn’t, AI be conducting more and more, testing that goes beyond what, human beings can do within a, given time period?Once AI can truly perform actual research to improve itself, the speed of development doubles recursively,at least according to general research on this topic. For example, an upgrade cycle could take 2 years, and then 1 year, and then 6 months,
and then 3 months, and then 1 and 1/2 months, and then etc. Now, I’m not saying it’s infinite. At some point it has to hit a plateau.I am not working in computer science, nor do I I it’s nearly as bullish as a lot of people online might think.I don’t believe that oh my gosh,we’re totally going to hand the, keys over to the AI and suddenly, it’s just going to improve itself, endlessly and we’ll live in Terminator, world, of ruled by the AM, master computer. But unless prevented by physical limits of computation or energy, which is one of the biggest things, preventing the advancement of, AI right now is energy projects. That’s why the US is investing into portable nuclear power and putting nuclear, power plants on the moon and in space. This was published by the White House.I’m not bullsh Like that’s genuinely a thing. You probably didn’t hear about it cuz you’re focused on like stupid, like alien disclosure, but I’m serious. They are genuinely trying to invest in a bunch of domestic Three Mile Island, you know,
type nuclear plants, and then nuclear power plants in low Earth orbit and on the moon. We’re already seeing the shift in hardware and capital infrastructure. We’re seeing the earliest iterations of recursive hardware. The Alpha chip AI programs are, currently utilizing machine learning, to innovate entirely new designs, for microchips. If AI is designing computer microchips and running refabrication, machines and then Korean scientists in video programs are developing, refabrication, machines here in the United States uh trained by Taiwanese workers. These specialized chip agents sharply accelerate the register transfer level. So we could be developing a better, more efficient computer chips. And with things like Claude Mythos, they could be doing better code, verification, debugging, and structural design optimization.Again, you go to some of these coding and startup expos and they’re talking about 100%, of their code is written by Claude code.Like none of it is written by human beings anymore. When sufficiently.
advanced AI systems are integrated into current design pipelines, these AI agents boost hardware production tenfold. This will genuinely cause the advancement of physical infrastructure, drastically reducing these design cycles. When human beings are no longer limited by advancing, the AI and they endlessly advance this AI because they have an economic, fiduciary, responsibility, to do so and they have a national security responsibility, because they believe they’re in AI arms race, then of course, they’re going to simultaneously, accelerate broader engineering designs beyond just silicon chips. They will continue, to push into more and more AI data centers and military projects. Now, critics are arguing that because of public pushback, because it raises the cost of electricity and water use, data centers cannot be built, within the decade due to extreme, power grid constraints, and also because people just, don’t like them and they don’t, like the idea that this AI is, definitely being used for a surveillance, state.
I have another video on that. You can go and watch it here. But,they misunderstand, the velocity of capital and the dependence for the global markets, for AI and the tech sphere to continue to advance. They need to hit all-time highs. That’s kind of how the stock market has been functioning lately. When major tech conglomerates realize the sheer scale of wealth to be made, they will pour tens of billions of dollars into making this happen. And we’ve already seen that. And the United States Congress, is allowing that type of investment even from the US government.$550 billion from 2027 to 2031, into completely renovating US roads and even fast-tracking, automated long-haul truck, Alphabet, which is Google, Amazon,Microsoft, OpenAI,they’ve already invested into major energy projects like Oklo, the startup for nuclear power, and Constellation Energy. All of these nuclear power startups in the United States are being pursued, so they can power AI data centers cuz we would genuinely.
have to quadruple the amount of power that we are producing. These partnerships are designed to produce nuclear energy specifically, for server infrastructure, bypassing the public power grid entirely, to run the next iteration of superintelligence.Advanced robotics and integrated smart technologies, are not just simply entertaining.Right? When you saw that expo, with Elon Musk unveiling a bunch of drones that are powered by human beings, you know, AI,actually Indians, that that seems interesting. The physical symptom of the tech Singularity, or the advancement of computer science and manufacturing, will likely be humanoid robots.I don’t believe we’re going to live in the Jetsons, future where everybody has a humanoid robot, folding their clothes, although we do see that in hotels.Things like this are being employed across the world. These physical machines cannot really across the world. These physical machines cannot really rival the power of an embodied AGI.
Obviously, if you have sufficiently advanced and cheap and efficient AGI,it can do hundreds of millions of jobs. These machines will be the tangible manifestation of an international AGI.Obviously, a computer system can replace jobs done on a computer. No, But when you have robots manufacturing, things like we’ve seen in the automation in automobile manufacturing, or in other spaces,we know this can destroy millions of jobs.Whether it’s companies like Aurora and Waymo for taxi drivers, or it’s long-haul trucking or it’s pallet movers within warehouses, or it’s people like longshoreman, unpacking shipping crates,it doesn’t matter. These physical machines, humanoid or otherwise, powered by AI can take real-world human jobs as well.Maybe not working in an oil pipeline or working as a nurse, but even radiology technicians,as according to the CEO of America’s largest public hospital system, saying he’s ready to replace radiology technicians with AI.
Uh, these drones can replace human beings in every realm of work.Even delivery drivers. So,you could work for Uber Eats or people could order from Zipline and, drone services.Humanoid robots attract a lot of attention because, of course, everybody wants to look at this future, that they believe is coming and it likely is coming.I mean, based upon what we see from Boston Dynamics, and Unitree, with their G1 model and Figure, AI for Figure 1 and Figure 2, and the Tesla Optimus, which again, I know was powered by a human, but it doesn’t matter.Like it’s it’s likely going to be powered by AI in the future. They’re moving past this science fiction, like Isaac Asimov and it’s it’s going to be real world. It’s going to replace commerce and commercial labor. As it should be abundantly clear, this automation can replace taxi drivers, bus drivers, truckers, service workers, longshoreman, port workers. They can, replace factory workers and manufacturing workers and warehouse workers.
A lot of these have been heavily reduced by automation already. The ABB IRB 390 Flex Packer replaced a bunch of people working on, you know, factory conveyor belts. But,when we see more and more humanoid robots or machines, that are automated by efficient, AI and then advanced by AI technology, and they’re invested into by these companies for a more efficient, workflow, things like Divanix Platforms six-axis systems, Fanuc and Scara arms, all of these are going to be manufacturing things more and more.Well, human beings are going to be replaced in every single domain.I talked about Learned Hand and Klapper, replacing people working in the legal sphere.People who are trying to work in courts as stenographers, or court clerks or even paralegals will be replaced, too.Unless there’s a massive tax or legal protection for your job,you can likely be automated away.Obviously,we know that software-based, AI will completely eviscerate corporate administrative structures, unless they intentionally choose.
to employ more people and have a less efficient workspace, which some places are clearly opting to not do that.I talked about Built, but accountants, corporate marketing teams, secretaries, people as Jamie Dimon and Dario Amodei said that work in low-level entry jobs, in Wall Street, they can be automated already.Even call centers can be automated. It’s genuinely cheaper to use an AI flow system to answer calls, and help to limit the amount of people you have to employ, rather than to employ an Indian, call center. If it costs a school district $20,000, to have a janitor robot, that cleans basically anything and maybe even self-cleaning toilets, then why would they have a human being working as a janitor?I believe that customers will prefer to talk to human beings at front desks, but companies will find it unfeasible, to employ, hundreds of people when an AI can do the work of a dozen full-time staff, for a fraction of the cost and it never needs to sleep. It might need some repairs.
It might need to be recharged.Who knows? But,it doesn’t really need to stop and there’s no protections, for labor like there are for you.So, when your grandma dies or you get sick,or you have a kid, you need to leave work.Uh the robot doesn’t.A mainstream macroeconomic, prediction from Goldman Sachs.
Why This Will End Society
estimates that 300 million jobs, will be lost worldwide due to, AI.Given that roughly 3 billion people globally live on less than 250 a day,the bulk of this economic displacement will hit nations where automation, is being invested in the fastest, which is the United States, China,Singapore, Japan,South Korea, Taiwan,Canada, and the United Arab Emirates.Sociologists argue that, well, human beings can actually adapt to any change by creating, entirely new professions, to absorb all the people that are displaced by the workforce. And I’ve said this line multiple times, the sheer velocity of this shift means that AI might create new jobs, but the AI will just take those jobs, too.Psychologically speaking, if individuals don’t have a meaning or purpose, and they’re going to school to try to go get a job,and then they just can’t get a job, and there are no jobs, and any of the jobs that are meant for humans are being outsourced to H-1Bs,uh then we know that that’s going to break people,
and people will be systematically phased out of employment. An economy where artificial systems, robotic arms, conveyor belts, and automated call centers handle the production is an economy that runs 24/7.It doesn’t need breaks. Why would they hire human beings?Human beings carry responsibilities, and human beings can die. This shift triggers a crisis of alienation. There’s already political polarization. There’s already radicalization. There’s a lot of anti-tech sentiment. The domestic population is financially fragile.A 2023, Federal Reserve study revealed that 54%, of Americans lack any savings to cover basic emergencies, and consumer financial data show that roughly 78%, of Americans live paycheck to paycheck.Whether or not that’s all perfectly accurate, it doesn’t matter. If it’s even somewhat reflective of reality,Americans cannot just lose their job, or be automated away.If there are sudden massive layoffs that can’t be absorbed by the economy, and you compound this economic instability.
with America’s current lack of community third places, and the ongoing dissolution of the nuclear family, and the pervasive culture of alienation as it exists right now,an atomized population will be completely helpless. And there’s already a mental health epidemic. There’s already a lot of uh you know, self-harm,self-destructive behaviors, unhealthy behaviors.Uh this could pivot to total civilizational destruction.Even more degenerate, even more risk-taking,even more of a gig economy, even more crime, people who are completely left out of the shed.Even if the US government tries to implement universal basic income,I don’t believe the US government can cover that. And there are in-depth economic analysis to attest to this likelihood. There would have to be massive, taxes in all these companies, that are trying to automate away, human positions. They’re automating away a lot, of their own capital as it exists, because those human beings are, also consumers,
and when they’re laid off, they just can’t go spend money.Even if the US government is funding works programs, to facilitate a new purpose for disillusioned Western workers,I’m not certain what they could be doing. Are they just planting trees and getting paid to plant trees?I’m not trying to sound completely hopeless and black-pilled,and I’m not trying to fear-monger you.Again, I don’t know how quickly this could happen, but it’s just a theoretical discussion.Anytime I discuss this with people, they minimize these advancements by replying, about some abstract unrelated semantic argument that AI isn’t actually thinking.Again, I said this already. It doesn’t matter if the AI is thinking. It’s just learning. It’s It’s not truly in sentience. It’s not in existence. That that is just entirely out of touch.Doesn’t need to be a human being to do your job? No.It’s already replaced thousands, hundreds of thousands, maybe even millions of workers worldwide. Why do you think there’s a job crisis?
It’s not just like an economic crisis. This public denial is something we’ve seen in history.I mean, at the turn of the 20th century, people were saying that, “Well,it’s impossible. It’s impossible for planes to ever exist.Humans will never fly.We weren’t meant to.Uh humans are limited to basic gliders or the technology that exists.” Well, clearly, technology is advancing rapidly. It’ll advance even faster as time goes on as I’ve tried to prove.Millions of dollars being spent by governments on aviation in the 1880s, and uh you know,1900s yielded public results. So, that skepticism was so severe you know,December 9th in 1903, just 8 days before the Wright brothers successfully flew the Kitty Hawk, the New York Times published an article saying, flying machines that do not fly confidently declaring that human beings, would not achieve mechanical flight for another 1 to 10 million years.People truly believe that technology, will never advance to a point where it fundamentally.
changes human life and yet that’s what we’re seeing right now.The reality of robot bots and AI systems does not require rogue human AI.It does not need to be a god.It does not need to be science fiction. It just needs to work.It just needs to be efficient and automate people’s jobs, and that alone can change society. If everybody’s unemployed, what happened? That’s why I think it’s really important to reject this entire semantic denial, and actually orient your life around something that’s sustainable,self-reliant, you’re capable of feeding yourself, you have intelligent investments, you’re saving whatever money you can, you’re trying to retire early if you have to.The FIRE community is pretty decent. It’s good life skills in general.Aggressively build up any liquid capital that you can, to cover any type of emergency, especially if you want to have a family.Network with local families and you know, local friends, real world communities. If you can get together three guys to move a couch,
you’re doing better than most people, and having these community networks is is fundamentally beneficial to anything, political or otherwise.I think that alienation will be one of the biggest things that affects people, but a technological advancement that possesses the capability, to radically amplify, human productivity and improve the quality of everyday life, you know, you’d think that would be something good.It just likely won’t be based, upon who holds the keys and who’s, running the show.I I don’t believe that this will endlessly advance, the quality of human life like Elon Musk believes. He believes that we’re going to have universal high income. There’s so much productivity, because of robots and AI, that everybody will just be able to do whatever they want all the time.I believe even in that type of case, people will feel that they have no purpose and they will be depressed, and that might lead itself to more crime, more conflict.People who don’t have something going on,
when they’re not devoting their time to something, they create problems and I believe, that that alone politically could cause major unrest. You don’t need to be afraid of robots.I’m not telling you to go flip over a Waymo car or, you know, attack some random food delivery robot.I’m just saying that this is the practical reality of what automation, could lead to.And this Singularity, advancing itself could lead us into a world that we truly don’t recognize.
